Education Education has always been a key element of Coastal Patrol policy. We believe that education is better than legislation. Boaters with knowledge and experience are better prepared to go to sea and rarely have to be assisted. The following list of courses is shown in chronological order. It is updated regularly but may not include all courses available from all divisions. Please contact your nearest Division for details and dates of courses offered. The interactive Marine Safety DVD, MarineSafe, is now available through Coastal Patrol Divisions for only $29.95.
For all NSW Maritime Boating Safety Seminars for the NSW Boat Driver's Licence, it is recommended that candidates study the NSW Maritime Boating handbook before attending (available from NSW Maritime or each division conducting seminars).
