How to Join? On 3rd July 2009 Marine Rescue NSW was born. This is the new, single, volunteer marine rescue organisation in NSW into which members of the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol will transfer. We welcome new members to join us in this exciting new marine emergency response service.
Benefits for members of Marine Rescue NSW include: FREE training
FREE uniforms*
NO membership fees
...and a chance to be part of the development of Australia’s new world-class, volunteer marine rescue organisation.
Things you can do: become a crewman, become a radio operator, become a lifeboat skipper, help us to fundraise, and enjoy the social life amongst a friendly team of community service orientated people.
Skills: If you have marine skills already... GREAT. If not, we can teach you everything from the ground up including getting your NSW Maritime Boating Licence, First Aid qualification and your Marine Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency. Many skills you will learn are also nationally recognised for employment opportunities in the general workforce. We are also keen to recruit people with administration abilities including accountancy and other backgrounds such as engineering, electrical, carpentry, plumbing etc that can assist in the smooth running of a marine rescue unit. We can’t promise you a marine emergency every day, but we can train you to know how to handle one. Interested? Please click here - and this link will take into the new Marine Rescue NSW website - and the "Join MRNSW" webpage.
We look forward to meeting you..... *Uniforms are free after successfully completing a 6 month probationary period. |
