How to Join?

Joining the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol is easy. Phone your nearest Division during operational hours and ask to speak to the Membership Officer. We will provide you with a brief idea of what being a part of the Coastal Patrol means over the phone, and if you are interested, invite you down for a cuppa and a tour of the base and lifeboats.

Yes, there is an annual fee payable each year, which helps us keep the Patrol running.

Things you can do: become a crewman, become a radio operator, become a lifeboat skipper, help us to fundraise, and enjoy the social life amongst a friendly team of community service orientated people.

Skills:  If you have marine skills already... GREAT.  If not, we can teach you everything from the ground up including getting your NSW Maritime Boating Licence, First Aid and your Marine Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency.  Yes, there will be some costs involved, but we do everything we can to keep these down.  We are also keen to recruit people with administration skills including accountancy and other backgrounds including engineering, electrical, carpentry and plumbing to assist in the smooth running of a Division.

Interested?  Email our Head Office admin@coastalpatrol.com.au for an information pack or call 1300 RESCUE (1300 737 283).  Include your name, address and best contact phone number and we will mail you a pack and have the nearest Division contact you.

We look forward to meeting you.....

Or... if you would love to help but just don't have the time, maybe consider becoming a Shoreline Supporter of the Coastal Patrol..
